The Canyons Ski Patrol Zone Supervisor

The Canyons, Utah's Largest Ski Resort, is seeking qualified applicants for ski patrol zone supervisor. Applicants must be: expert skiers, possess a current OEC, EMT, or WFR certification, be physically fit, and be motivated to work outdoors in all conditions.

Previous experience in ski patrol, avalanche control, or other outdoor industries is mandatory. Responsible for daily operations of 3-4 patrol stations and 12-16 patrollers. Opportunities for growth, competitive wages, Excellent Privileges, and a fun work environment.

Primary duties: Guiding in avalanche terrain, snow cat operation, snow safety.

Season: Late December to late March.

Minimum requirements: Three (3) years ski patrolling at Class A avalanche area or related experience, OEC/EMT.

Salary: Dependent on experience, range $2000-$3500/month plus generous tips. Equipment provided.

Silverton Mountain Ski Area Snow Safety Director Position Available


Silverton Mountain Colorado is currently taking applications for the position of Snow Safety Director.  Ideal applicants would have a ski patrol background with extensive blasting experience AND experience forecasting for a helicopter skiing operation.  Experience with multiple snow climates a plus.
 
Must be energetic and a strong skier as Silverton Mtn has one fixed grip chairlift that accesses 1,819 acres of expert only terrain.  Plan on hiking 30 minutes to an hour with a full pack while working.  Silverton Mountain also has a small scale helicopter skiing program.  If you enjoy a challenge and lots of blasting Silverton might be right for you.
