DESCRIPTION: A small part of the avalanche was split by this island and part of the debris drained down the chute to the left but most of the degris went down the main chute to the right. This photo is looking down towards the bottom. The toe of the deposition is 2,000 vertical feet below and it stopped near the flats at the bottom.
