DESCRIPTION: This is the toe of the debris at 8,800 feet and looking up toward the fractrute line near the summit 2,000 vertical feet above. The victim rode the avalanche most of the way down and ended up on the surface, probably up and around the corner from this photo. He lost a ski and his poles but most of the equipment was recovered.
