On Sunday 3-18-07, a natural wet avalanche ran down the north facing Drop In/Drop Out slide path above 3rd Dam in lower Logan Canyon.

The avalanche started at around the 8100' elevation line and ran around 1800 vertical feet. It likely would have gone much farther if there was more snow in the track.

The large pile of heavy, tree-filled, wet deposition filled the path from edge to edge and came to a stop about 150 vertical feet above a large overhanging limestone cliff.
