

Rain and warmth at lower elevations yesterday only exacerbated the wet avalanche problem, and saturated new snow flowed off sunny low and mid elevation slopes like melting wax off a candle.
We encountered large piles of debris from overnight avalanches.
New avalanches would appear or come into view every few minutes.
In many areas fresh wet avalanches overran debris from overnight activity.
We easily triggered wet avalanches, even on lower angled terrain. Here, piles of wet debris cover tracks on our descent.
