Text Box: 3-26-08, Logan River Wet Avalanches
Wet avalanches from March 19th through the 25th

The spring melt and some rain at lower elevations caused some large wet point release avalanches above the Logan River.

Tons of heavy debris ran into the River, which acted as a giant terrain trap.

Probably not a good time to fish in one of my favorite holes.  The river melted and carried away lots of dirty debris.

Wet avalanches were widespread on this stretch of river, many paths ran multiple times in the last week.

A few gouged out all the snow to the ground

This one stepped down 3 or 4' to the ground into old deposition from previous avalanches.
