Point-release avalanches:  Extensive natural sluffing of the loose dry new snow occurred Saturday morning on steep upper elevation slopes.

We carefully avoided some large cornices along the ridge-line.  This season's large cornices are likely to be problematic in the inevitable spring warm-up.  Melting will cause them to soften, and giant chunks will probably peel off and careen down slope.
