Northern Utah Mountain Weather Forecast

Sunday, December 02, 2007 – 1130

Utah Avalanche Center Weather Home Page

Discussion:

Short wave ridge building in for the next couple of days.  We’ll see clearing skies followed by rapid warming through Tuesday.  700mb temps to push to 35 degrees by tomorrow.  Winds expected to push into 30mph ranges from Ogden north by tonight.

Extended Forecast:

Somewhat moist zonal flow continues through the end of the weeks with a few chances for snow.  Weekend pattern split between GFS and European models, with the GFS closing off a Low pressure system to the southwest, kicking significant moisture into the Utah.  European model maintains the trof into our area without a cutoff splitting off to the south.  Stay tuned.
